What is Australian washed Blue Bentonite Clay?

The holidays are almost here and I am so happy to announce that my new products have just arrived!

For Acne I have a Dry Face Mask Concentrate that you make at home.  This mask uses Australian washed Blue Clay.  Australian washed Blue clay is made up of Bentonite clay (also referred to as montmorillonite) and is excellent for drawing toxins and impurities from the skin.  Our Bentonite is derived from Australian volcanic ash, is gray in color, and has a very fine, smooth texture, making it perfect for facial skin care.  We use it in our Chamomile & White Willow Bark Dry Face Mask Concentrate for it's purifying properties and also because Bentonite is also one of the most absorbent and best clays for clearing acne.

What are the benefits of Australian washed Blue Bentonite Clay?

Bentonite clay is made up of negatively charged ions, which when hydrated, work to draw out positively charged toxins from your skin.  This purification also makes Bentonite a gentle cleanser for skin and hair by naturally removing impurities and washing away dirt.  In addition, Bentonite swells when hydrated.  Like a sponge absorbing water, Bentonite works to absorb excess oils from your skin.

Cosmetic clays have a long history of skin  care use, and because of the many benefits of Bentonite (detoxifying, cleansing, purifying), Australian washed Blue Clay has a place in our line of natural skin products.
